William “Bill” Amos, 81, of Bartlett, TN., passed away at home on Hospice Care on Tuesday evening, October 21, 2014. Bill was born in Blytheville, AR. But was a Memphian with various careers. He attended Christian Brothers and Graduated from U of M after serving in the U.S. Air Force. He loved Texas Hold’em Poker, football and a good joke. He was preceded in death by his son, Edwin Arnold. Mr. Amos is survived by his wife, Linda Amos, son, Michael Amos and his wife Melissa, daughter, Angela Escobar, three grandchildren, Jessica, Allison, and Trey Escobar, two sister-in-laws, Cindy Stewart and Sharon Craven, nieces Melissa Switzer, her husband Timothy, and Pamela Harrell, great nieces and nephews, Cohen Switzer, Elizabeth, Lindsay and Dillon Baker, three nephews and a niece in Michigan, Frank, Greg, Shane and Jane Ewing, and many other friends. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, October 25 from 12-1pm with the funeral starting at 1pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett, TN. 38133. Following the burial there will be a catered reception in the Lounge of the funeral home.
