The thought of Bill brings only happy memories. He will be missed by all who knew him. Our loss is Heaven's gain. What a reunion they must be having over there! Our family is making a donation to the Gideons International to have 10 Bibles placed in Bill's memory. We know how much he loved the Lord!

I worked with Bill at Norrell for over thirty years. Technically he was my boss, but he never treated me that way. He was a dear friend and helped me with personal matters many times. I'll miss him a lot.

You are my father, my brother,my best freind! I really can't put into words how much I will miss you. But, I'm am so glad Joshua has you with him know!

Bill and I have been best friends for thirty-six years. 

 We were in the Navy together, hunted, fished, camped, vacationed, laughed, prayed, wept, and just about any thing best friends could do together.

When we phoned or spoke in person, we fondly called each other "Buddy Bubba", and I will miss not being called that again.  

I have many funny stories I could tell, and memories to last a lifetime.

We truly have been through thick and thin, and Bill was truly one of a kind!!

Bill's humor, kindness, giving nature, and love for fellow man will be missed by us all.

God Bless your entire family in this time of grief!

Bill was my closest cousin, as we almost shared the same birthdays. Each year on June 2nd he would call me and then on June 3rd I would call him to say Happy Birthday.  I will truly miss that call this year.  Bill and I would talk often, sharing about each others families, world issues, etc.  He would always tell me he loved me when we would hang up.  Then he would tell me to tell my husband, Billy Joe that he loved him too.
He came to take me for a ride the day he got his drivers license, and ran right through a stop sign!  Not only did we share a common bond of being only hours apart in age, we have a common bond in Jesus Christ. I have that hope that one day I will see him again.
Peggy, I am so sorry for your lost, and sincerely wish I could have made the trip to Memphis for the funeral.
I did not send flowers but will donate to "Callie's Mission", a program that helps to send young people on mission trips each year. Callie is a very special girl with a heart for Christ, but was injured severely last Sept. in an automobile wreck. It was her desire to be a missionary.  I believe Bill would have been pleased to help some young person in this way.

Peggy I am so saddened by the news I heard from my sister. Bill was always such a great guy when I was growing up. He could always make you laugh and had a heart of gold. You are in my prayers. I wished I could be there for support but I am there in spirit. You know my mom is always there for you and so am I. God Bless

Bill has been a friend and very close Christian brother since our childhood. I loved him as much, if not more so, as a blood brother. I will miss our almost daily calls to each other, to chat about the day, solve the world's problems, or to console each other. He was a man of such wisdom,  counsel and comfort to me: I often called him "Dr Bill."  In my 62 years of life I have known many many people, some very wealty, some very prominent. I put Bill above all of them. I will miss you. But looking forward to joining you in Christ. Hopefully my mansion will be next door to yours. Love ya ... your brother and friend, Jerry Cox

Bill was closer than a brother to me.  Growing up and growing with Bill all my life has been a wonderful blessing. I will miss his friendship, almost daily calls to each other, and most importantly, the intimate friendship of brothers in Christ. He was so giving and a such great counsel to me, often my calling him "Dr Bill"  I will miss him, but the love in the memories will continue on. Sorry to hear about Bill's passing.  Glad I got to see him a couple of months ago when I picked up some solvent.  Bill was always great to work with and helped the Zoo out on many projects. I will miss him.

Bill was my best friend from the 7th grade thru graduation.  We had some great times riding thru the Krystal and Shoneys and up and down Summer Ave in his Mother's red studebaker.  Bill was a very good man who cared for and took great interest in his fellow Treadwell classmates.  He will be missed very much. My thoughts and prayers are with Peggy, Stephen and family.

It will be the little things
