William "Popdaddy" Larry Pace

Popdaddy was born March 4, 1935 in Roger Springs, Tennessee to Paden and Myrtle Pace. He was a member of Senatobia Church of Christ and a former member of Millington Church of Christ. He served the City of Memphis as a Memphis Police Officer for 34 years.

Popdaddy was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed watching the Memphis Grizzlies and his Alabama Crimson Tide.

Popdaddy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Lee Pace “Nana”; son, William Larry Pace, Jr.; sister, Ruby Daphine Pace and daughter-in-law Teresa Elizabeth Pace

Popdaddy leaves behind his son, David Keith Pace; daughter Sherri Lynn Surman (John Walter Philbin); daughter-in-law, Betty Lee Pace; grandchildren, Richard Keith Pace (Penny), Lucas Paden Surman (Brittney), Winston Colt Surman (Bailey), Brooklyn Philbin (Hunter), Daniel Christopher Pace, Rebecca Ashley Pace; great grandchildren, Emerson Alexandria Pace, Levi Keith Pace, Henry Wayne Surman, John Liam Surman, Stetson Doc Surman and expecting “baby” Surman.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Senatobia Church of Christ, 4214 US – 51, Senatobia, Mississippi 38668. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9 am and breakfast will be available at 8am. The family will have a second funeral service at 2 pm on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Millington Church of Christ, 7320 Raleigh Millington Rd. Millington, Tennessee 38053. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens.
