William “Bill” Stovall departed this world for Heaven early morning February 25, 2018 at the age of seventy-five. He was a native Memphian. During his life, he attained the rank of Captain in the United States Air Force, serving his country for twenty years. After retiring from the Air Force, he served in administration and telecommunications at St. Jude Hospital for thirty years. He happily served his church and community as a Deacon at Cordova Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Elaine Stovall, two siblings; Sibyl Tatosky (Don) of Memphis, TN and Kit Clark of Houston, TX, two children; Vicki Stovall of Memphis, TN and Jeff Stovall (Stephanie) of Crestwood, KY, as well as four grandchildren; Lindsey Tankersley (Clint) of North Little Rock, AR, Abigail Hale (Lucas) of Lynchburg, VA, Ginny Stovall (Jordan Finney) of Memphis, TN, and Mitchell Stovall of Crestwood, KY, as well as one great grandchild Laikyn Tankersley of North Little Rock, AR. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28th, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. Service will follow at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cordova Baptist Church.
