Virginia Persky

Virginia Persky a long time resident of Bartlett,Texas passed away on July 2,2011 at the age of 87. Virginia was born July 4,1923 in Georgetown,Texas to Louis and Bertha (Schwertner) Ilse.Virginia was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bartlett.She was active in several organizations; Sons of Hermann,Schwertner Community Club,Germania Insurance . Virginia is survived a son, Larry Persky of Austin; a daughter,Betty Lum of Salado;grandsons,Larry Lum and wife Shelley of Bartlett and Neal Persky and wife, Shayna of Austin; great-granddaughters, Lauren,Haley, and Kimberlyn Lum, Tessa Persky and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceeded in death by her husband of almost 69 years Gus Persky and parents a sister Ina Ilse Steger a brother William Ilse and a niece Georgia Steger Sellers.Visitation will be on Wednesday July 6,2011 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartlett with the Celebration of life service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
