Alberta was born August 6, 1918, in Brown County, IL to Henry Rudolph and Buelah (Grafton) Christner. She married Leonard Bowman on January 19, 1946, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1999. She was also preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Surviving are two sons, Alan (Kathie) Bowman of Mapleton; Randy Bowman of Morton and daughter-in-law, Debbie of Peoria; four grandchildren, Melissa (Randy) Cox, Melanie (Brad) Acker, Jennifer Bowman and Jill (Chad) Keller; great-grandchildren, Mason (Leanne) Cox, Ashton Cox, Josie Cox, Chase Acker, Emme Acker, Noah Keller, Hannah Keller.
Alberta was a member of Limestone Presbyterian Church in Hanna City. She was a self taught artist and loved to bless others by sharing her handmade sewing creations, paintings, and cards. Family was most important to Alberta and she was loved by all.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Bill Carey will officiate. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
