Clarence "Bud" H. Smith

He was born Dec. 22, 1922 in Peoria to Steven and Anna (Berry) Smith. He first married Charlotte Kirby in 1942 in Peoria. She passed away May 17, 1968 in Peoria. He later married Agnes Armour May 10, 1980 in Peoria. She survives along with one son, John Smith of Springfield, one step-son, William (Debbie) Cotton of Spring Bay, three grandsons: Kevin Smith of Edinburg, IL, Keith (Tisha) Smith of Springfield, Jason (Terri) Smith of Rochester, two step-grandchildren: Tracey and William, seven great-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two sons: Michael and Steven Smith, one brother, Charles Smith, one grandson, Michael Smith, and one step-granddaughter, Marcey Crandall.

Bud was a WWII Army Veteran and during that time served in New Guinea.

He worked at Keystone Steel and Wire Co. in Bartonville for 40 years retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979, and the Laramie Street Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Friday July 24, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday July 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery with military honors.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital, Bartonville American Legion, or the Laramie Street Baptist Church.
