Connie Sue Huey

She was born January 28, 1949 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Frankie and Susannah (Ash) Estes.

Connie is survived by her son, Timothy Huey and daughter, Kimberly Swearingen; three grandchildren, Tyler, Katelyn and Shye’Anne Swearingen; three great-grandchildren, Collin, Sadie and Grace and one sister, Bonnie Ledbetter.

She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew Aaron Dye.

Connie was a hairdresser most of her adult life, and teacher of Cosmetology for 17 years. Having the opportunity to teach at beauty colleges managing and teaching at AAAAA Beauty Academy, instructing at Regency Beauty Institute, and Tricoci University. She loved watching her students develop and succeed. Connie had an extremely high state board pass rate among her students she educated.

She enjoyed spending her time going to antique malls and collecting different antiques. Connie was a member of McArthur Baptist Church.

Connie loved spending time with her dog Brooke.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made in Connie’s name to Tazewell Animal Protection Society.
