I’ve had the pleasure of living next to Dave for the past 3 years.  He was the best neighbor a person could ask for.  He was always offering items from his garden, and coming out to play with me and my kids.  His kindness and generosity are exactly what you hope for in a person.  My sons and I are deeply saddened by his passing, but feel so blessed to have known him and be his neighbor.  God bless Dave, Carol and his daughters and grandchildren.

As a distant second cousin who left the Midwest for California many years ago, I remember a long ago meal with Dave who I hadn't seen since High School days.  It was as if I was immediately a close friend with him bringing me up to date on family and fishing stories.  Though not having fished in many years, he made me envy his tale of fishing trips to Canada.   After grieving, our memories of him live on.

 I'm sure that his ability to treat everyone he met as a friend have passed on to all his family members.  My condolences to Carol & all of Dave's extended family I haven't had the good fortune to meet, but following Dave's example - I count you all as friends!

Carol and family,  we are so sorry to learn of David's passing.  David was a terrific person and one to be admired and respected.  How fortunate for all of you. Dear Carol and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I always smile when I think of Dave. Every time we would see one another we would always exchange stories on hunting and fishing. I always looked forward to seeing Dave at family events and catching up on what the latest fishing or hunting story was.  He was a true gentleman who was a man among men. I always admired his quiet, strong disposition and willingness to help any and all who were in his presence. We were all blessed to have known Dave and thanks for sharing him with us through the years.  We have to trust he is in a good place with all of his family and friends in heaven. I hope he is battling a big Musky or Largemouth bass right about now. Love you ❤️
Dave Sestak

Remembering all those days growing up together and trying to not get into any trouble.   Carol and Dave were both such a big part of those high school years with great fun memories! So happy our friendship remained through the years.  Even when years had passed before we would get together again we would pick up where we left off without a hitch!! Dave was an awesome husband, father, and friend to many! His faith was strong and he had a loving heart.  There is no doubt that he was greeted in heaven by our loving Lord. We will miss you Dave! -Janet

They say you can’t pick your neighbors. However 24 years ago Dave did just that. Lance and Dave had been great friends. Lance and I had just got engaged and needed a larger house for all my stuff. Dave called Lance and told him that the house across the street (Ralph’s house) was going on the market the next day. We went to see it and bought it that day. It never went on the market. 24 years later we consider it a privilege to have had Dave and Carol as our neighbors. He will be missed. Right now we can’t wrap our brain around what it will be like not having them right across the street. Our deepest condolences to Carol and family. Love, Lance and Janice

I am so very sorry for your loss and will keep All of you in our thoughts and Prayers.  Dave was the Best of the Best next door neighbor for myself and Joce Girl and she absolutely adored Mr. Dave.
I am so Thankful that we saw him and shared about a half hour of conversation on Halloween night and that Joce got in more than a few Mr. Dave hugs.
