Don R. Bayne

Don R. Bayne, 67, of Bartonville, Illinois, died Friday, August 9, 2013 at his residence. He was born on July 31, 1946 in Rosiclare, Illinois. He was the son of Troy and Georgia (Hall) Bayne. He married Darlene E. Norman on February 10, 1968 in Peoria County, Illinois. She survives.

Don has two daughters surviving, Heather (Peter) Cenek of Peoria, Illinois and Holly (Josh) Jones of Yorkville, Illinois. He has three grandchildren, Sierra Hope, Nicholas Sterling and Samantha Kristen Cenek. Don has two sisters, Betty Shonkweiler of Lewisville, Texas and Bonnie Yeley of Bartonville, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his parents and one infant daughter, Stephanie Kristen Bayne.

Don worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years in management, retiring in 1999. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict. Don was very active in the Bartonville Lions Club, a member in the Bartonville American Legion Post 979, Verlin Showalter Masonic Lodge in Bartonville, and is a member of the Zoning Board in Bartonville. He was a former member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Bartonville.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Eimo Hinrichs and Deacon Steve Cenek will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Swan Lake Memory Garden. Memorials may be made to the Bartonville Lions Club.
