

She was born January 14, 1928 in Hersman, IL, the daughter of Gene Van Devinter & May Byram. She married Louis McSimov in 1956. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1975. She later married Orville L. Hacker on June 12, 1984 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2005.
Jean is survived by one son, Michael (Bonnie) McSimov of Bartonville;five step sons, Richard (Carole) McSimov of Henderson, NV, Ted McSimov of Williamsfield, Keith (Gail) Hacker of Bartonville, Gary (Laura) Hacker of Bartonville, Dusty (Leslie) Hacker of Norwood; two step-daughters, Tracey Shortridge of Bartonville and Kim Peterson of Bellevue; two sisters, Grace (Henry) Bridgewater of Morton, and Brenda (Jim) Himmelberg of Missouri; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bill; one daughter, Cindy Fehl; one step-daughter, Denise Tripp.
Jean worked in the Caterpillar Restaurant for thirty years retiring in 1975.
She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Bartonville, American Legion Auxiliary, and V.F.W. Auxiliary
Cremation rites will be accorded.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church. Rev. Debbie Howard will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Easter Seals for her great-grandson, Payton McSimov.
