She was born March 21, 1918 in Peoria to William and Agnes Jones. She married Frank W. Marmion Sep. 8, 1937 in Peoria. He passed away July 26, 1989 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Clifford and Jackie Jones.
Survivors include one son, John (Dorothy) Marmion of Bartonville, two daughters: Phyllis Zoll of Springfield, Carolyn Meece of Rockford, eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren, and one brother, Frank Jones of Peoria.
Edith volunteered for many years with the American Cancer Society and the Illinois Eye Center.
Visitation will be Saturday Sep. 17, 2011 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Graveside services will follow the visitation at Pottstown Cemetery.
