Evelyn J. Cool

She was born on July 6, 1934, in Peoria, IL to Fred and Christine (Molchin) Schick. Evelyn married Edward E. Cool on November 8, 1952. He preceded her in death, August 1, 2013.

Surviving are two sons, Bruce (Linda) Cool of N. Pekin and Chris (Robin) Cool of East Peoria; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cool of Peoria, 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marlene (Roy) Struchen, Alberta (Carol) Schaefer, both of Rockwell, IA, and Juanita (Harold) Vires of Bartonville and one brother, David (Juliet) Schick of Hanna City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Andy Cool, her daughter, Diana Cool Fuller and brother, Melvin Schick.

Evelyn retired from Johnson Hydraulic September 1994. She was a long-time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bartonville. She was also a member of Peoria Boat Club, Peoria Motorcycle Club Auxiliary, Tri-County Good Sam Club, and Lost Arrow Campground in Havana.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Lutheran Hillside Village Care Center staff for the compassionate care they gave to our mom while she lived there, and to Traditions Health Hospice Care for the care they provided in her last days.

Funeral service for Evelyn will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 11 a.m. officiated by Pastor Michael Jones with visitation being held one-hour prior to the service at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bartonville.
