

Gerald "Jerry" Howard Pardieck, 76, of Peoria, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 surrounded by his loving family at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on April 15, 1948 in Peoria, a son of Harold Pardieck and Flora (Rode) Pardieck. Jerry married Linda Lou Guppy on December 13, 1969 in Peoria. She survives.
He is also survived by his two children, Shawn (Courtney) Pardieck of Ellisville and Jody Centers of Elmwood; one brother, Jim (Cindy) Pardieck of Bartonville; one brother-in-law, Michael Guppy of Bartonville; five grandchildren, Conner (Katie) Pardieck of Dupo, Logan Pardieck of Pekin, Adam Centers, Ryan Centers, and Samantha Centers, all of Elmwood; four step-grandchildren, Alexandria Roberts, Jay Allbright, Addyson Onion, and Brylee Onion; four great-grandchildren, Lyle Thomas, Leon Thomas, Blaiklee Pardieck, and Beckett Pardieck; one nephew, Matt (Lindsey) Pardieck, and one niece Brenna (Brian) Skauge.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerry loved hanging out with friends and was quick to make new friends everywhere he went. He was known for his sense of humor, light-hearted teasing, and enjoyed making those around him smile... Jerry enjoyed many things in life. He liked to golf, hunt, fish, ride ATV's, sit by a fire with his bride, an ice-cold Coors Light, the Cardinals, the Vikings, the Fighting Illini, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Jerry and Linda never missed a sporting event in which their children or grandchildren participated in. Jerry spent 55 wonderful years married to his best friend and the love of his life.
He was a graduate of Limestone High School, Class of 1966.
Jerry worked as a welder for Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years, retiring in 2001, and then worked for The Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center for 17 years.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville, American Legion Limestone Post #979, and Bartonville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3883.
Jerry's family has arranged a celebration of life gathering from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at the Bartonville VFW Post #3883, 4518 S. Lafayette Ave., Bartonville, IL 61607. Cremation has been entrusted to the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bartonville VFW Post #3883.
