Gerald "Jerry" V. Paschon

He was born on December 5. 1921, in Bartonville to Charles and Martha (Lane) Paschon. He married Elizabeth Schulz on October 28, 1950. She preceded him in death on August 14, 2006.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; his son, Thomas Paschon; two brothers; and one sister.

Surviving are his three children. Michael (Jo) Paschon of Roseville, CA. Pat Paschon of Glasford and Christine Vandyke of Peoria; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Jerry served in the US. Navy and worked as a Installer for Illinois Bell for over 37 years before retiring in 1983. He was a member of the IBEW and Bethel Lutheran Church in Bartonville.

Jerry was an avid fisherman, fishing in Canada for Musky and Northern Pike, with his two buddies, Oppe and Pete. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.

A visitation will be on Wednesday. June 13, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday. June 14, 2018, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bartonville. The Rev. Kara Wiechmann will officiate. Burial will follow the service at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville. Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.
