

Jason Shiloh Tyree, 41, of Washington, passed away at 3:46 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013 atOSF St. Francis Medical Center. He was born September 3, 1971 in Peoria to Thomas Michael and Marsha (Hale) Tyree. Surviving are his parents; Michael Tyree of East Peoria and Marsha (Bill) Ross of Landers, CA; 1 brother Bryan (Elizabeth) Tyree of Toulon; 1 sister Stefanie (Scott) Truelson of Chillicothe; his significant other, with whom he lived with, Rachel Salcido and her children which he helped raise, Alisha, Tina, and Rosalyna all of Washington; his grandmother, Lovice Smith of East Peoria; several nieces and nephews and his beloved black lab, Zoey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and an aunt and 2 uncles. Jason was an Iraq War U.S. Navy veteran serving during Operation Desert Storm. He was a member of Boilermakers Local #158 working for Komatsu in the transportation pattern as an overhead crane operator in building EE. He was a free spirit who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed river rafting, fishing and was an avid camper. Jason was a huge family man and a wonderful friend. He had such a big heart. He would do anything for those around him. He touched the lives of many. Jason will always be loved and missed, and will never be forgotten. Visitation for Jason will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. A celebration of Life service will be led by Vic Cotelleso at 6 p.m. Tuesday following the visitation at the chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded.
