Joanna M. Tilton

She was born September 29, 1930 in Peoria, IL to Edward and Mary (Bianchi) Windsor.

Joanna was a graduate of the Academy of Our Lady class of 1948. She married William Tilton on November 15, 1952.

She was a Peoria area realtor for many years before becoming a freelance court reporter. After her retirement, Joanna was a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Home of Peoria. She was a member of St. Anthony Church in Bartonville.

Surviving are one son, Kevin W. (Bonnea) Tilton of Bartonville; and two daughters, Karen S. (Allan) Costello and Kelly J. (Robert) Quick, both of Bartlett, IL. She has seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brothers David (Diane) Windsor of Dunlap, IL, Jerry (Diane) Windsor of Sylmar, CA, James (Mary Beth) Windsor of Germantown Hills, IL, and Daniel (Virginia) Windsor of St. Louis, MO.

Joanna was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 2008. Her parents and her brother Edward Windsor also preceded her in death.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria, Illinois. Father David Heinz will officiate. A visitation will be held Friday evening at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
