Kay was born in Peoria on April 9, 1946, the daughter of Charles Walter and Marie Vernal Zimmerman Luenz . She married Robert Knollenberg in Peoria on July 15, 1967.
She is survived by her husband of forty-seven years; her mother, of Peoria; two brothers, Steve (Nancy) Luenz of Lakeside, AZ, Larry (Betty) Luenz of Peoria; and many nieces and nephews.
Kay is preceded in death by her father.
She was a member of West Bluff Christian Church. Kay enjoyed fishing with her husband and her flower garden.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 22, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
