LaJoan Lavish

She was born April 26, 1931 in West Frankfort, IL to Samuel and Marie (Ford) Payne. She married Ronald Lavish, January 27, 1951 in West Frankfort. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Marion Payne.

Surviving is her husband, Ronald of Bartonville, two children, Kendra (Michael) Roth of Kickapoo and Matt (Monica) Lavish of Sparland. Also surviving are her twin granddaughters, Ava and Mya Lavish, and three siblings, Earl (Jo) Payne of West Frankfort; Ruth Waters of Denver, CO; and Roger “R.T.” (Carol) Payne of Brimfield.

LaJoan was a member of the Bartonville Christian Church where she was active in the Christian Women’s Association. She was also a member of the Caterpillar retirees and will be remembered for always being “Peachy Keen”.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 10:00 am at Bartonville Christian Church. The Rev. Kevin Dell will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
