Mary Kathryn Loeffel

She was born January 6, 1929 in Omaha, IL to Ralph and Louis (Desper) Edwards. She married Charles Loeffel on October 26, 1947 at the Bartonville Methodist Church. He preceded her in death in 2004. Also preceding her in death were her parents, infant siblings James Reed and Betty Joline Edwards, nephew Mark Maras, grandson Troy Bussell, and great-granddaughter Emily Bussell.

Surviving are her two daughters, Tonya (Rich) Moravec of Morris, IL and Deborah (Greg) Bussell of North Pekin, three grandchildren, Brett Moravec of Hinsdale, IL, John (Elizabeth) Moravec of Arkansas and Todd (Rhonda) Bussell of East Peoria, four great-grandchildren, Charles and Emma Moravec and Alison and Zachary Bussell, one sister Dorothy Maras of San Diego, CA and four nieces and a nephew.

Mary worked as a Sales Associate for over 20 years with Carson Pierre Scott and later Famous Barr before retiring. She was a very active member of Bartonville United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Bible School and served on various committees.

A funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 17, 2018 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Bartonville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Nicholas Jordan will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Parkview cemetery in Peoria.
