Millicent Millie Ruth "Millie" McGrew

Millicent Ruth “Millie” McGrew,92, of Peoria, Illinois passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Hawthorn Village in Peoria. She was born on September 10, 1923 in Eureka, Illinois to Adolph and Mabel (Folkers) Heiken. She first married Harold C. Norman, they were married 25 years. She later married Don McGrew, he preceded her in death.

She is survived by four children, Sheila Blair of Cottonwood, Arizona, Darlene Bayne and Robert Norman both of Bartonville, Illinois and Dennis Norman of San Diego, California. She has six grandchildren, Adam Blair, Christopher Benson, Heather Cenek, Holly Jones, Blake and Justin Norman; she has three great grandchildren, Sierra, Nicholas and Samantha Cenek. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Stephanie Bayne.

Millie worked 25 years for the State of Illinois Internal Revenue Service before retiring. She was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Bartonville. She loved people and enjoyed being active in many clubs and organizations. She was a former member of the Femmes Unir Club in Bartonville.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Raymond Barclay will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM on Thursday at the Clayton Township Cemetery near Benson, Illinois.
