

She was born April 19, 1933, in Peoria, to Richard and Lucille (Koeppel) Riedlinger. She married Donald Chapman on April 10, 1954, in Peoria. He passed away March 21, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one son, David (Karen) Chapman of Hanna City, one daughter, Debra Jones of Peoria, four grandchildren: Kristen (Heath) Bailey, Kelsey (Justin) Kelton, Katy Chapman, MacKenzie Jones, and ten great-grandchildren.
Nancy worked for the UAW Local 974 for almost 34 years, retiring in November of 1987. She attended Faith Missionary Church in Bartonville and Northwood’s Community Church in Peoria. She was an active member of the Faith Missionary Quilters for years. She also participated in a Wednesday morning Bible study with friends. She was also a member of the Bartonville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She loved the Lord, her family, her friends, and chocolate. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home. They traveled all over the country enjoying nature, people, and fishing. They were also able to travel to Israel twice.
She continued to keep in touch with her fellow Manual Training High School graduates. She also loved Facebook and connecting socially through it.
Nancy enjoyed food, especially shared with family and friends. She loved like no one else and had the gift of being present when she was with you.
Funeral services will be held at Faith Missionary Church on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2023 with the visitation beginning at 10 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Burial will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Village of Bartonville in memory of Nancy Chapman for a memorial bench to be placed on Lauterbach Trail.
