

She was born November 17, 1922 in Logan Township in Peoria County to Andres D. and Gertrude C. (Pille) Johnson. She married Robert L. Sumner on August 6, 1954 in Peoria. He passed away in November of 1994.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Kenneth G. Johnson.
Surviving is one niece Becky (Gene) Abel of Mackinaw, one nephew Russ (Terry) Johnson of Hanna City; one great niece Renee (Craig) Nannen of Hanna City, one great nephew Nathan (Sarah) Johnson of Mapleton; two great-great nephews Van and Wynn Johnson of Mapleton, and one great-great niece Sydney Nannen of Hanna City.
Pauline retired in 1986 as the bookkeeper for Thompson Food Basket. After retirement she worked part time as the bookkeeper for Geier Florist.
She was an avid bowler and was a member of various local bowling leagues for 40 years. She was also a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Glasford.
Cremation will be accorded. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Smithville Cemetery. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
