Peggy Ann Wilhoyt, 72, of Hanna City, formerly of Kankakee and Bradley, passed away on Monday October 9, 2023 at Carle Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born on August 28, 1951 in Metropolis, a daughter of Charles R. Kem and Betty L. (Elston) Kem. Peggy married Joseph Michael Wilhoyt on February 2, 1985 in Kankakee. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2009 in Kankakee.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and an uncle-in-law, Alvin Clusky.
Peggy is survived by her sister, Judy Kem of Hanna City; and her beloved pet cat, Mari.
She last worked as a teller for Armstrong Credit Union in Kankakee, retiring in 2011.
Peggy loved to read and quilt.
There will be no services. Cremation has been entrusted to the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. A private inurnment will take place in Smithville Cemetery in rural Hanna City at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PCAPS or the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate Clinic in Peoria.
