Reent E. "Eddie" Johnson, Jr., 56, of Peoria, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Born in Peoria, on February 15, 1970, he was the son of Reent and Suzanne (Heinz) Johnson.
Survivors include five siblings, Greg (Donna) Johnson, Deborah (Richard) Hubner, Pam Bouchez, Jessie (James) Sperry-McMillan, and Roberta (DeWayne) Arington; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Rebecca Ledbetter.
Eddie was a self-employed contractor for many years. He owned and operated Johnson Construction. Aside from the many projects he accomplished at work, he enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning, fishing and hunting, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place privately at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
