Richard Lee Lauterbach

He was born on February 17, 1931 in Peoria to Claus and Margaret Tolen Lauterbach. He married Mildred “Mim” Allgaier at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on Oct. 6, 1956. She survives.

Also surviving are one brother; Harvey (Edith) Lauterbach of Peoria, IL, one sister-in-law Lucille Lauterbach of Peoria, IL, one nephew Mark (Marlene) Hammerich of Wyoming, IL, one niece Susan (John) Buntrock of Woodridge, IL, four great nieces; Patsy Miller and Holly Hammerich of Putnam, IL, Mandy Hammerich of Henry, IL, Ashley Bruntrock of Woodridge, IL, and one great-great niece Emmarose Miller of Putnam, IL.

Dick was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

He was a member of the Fun Makers of Mohammed Shrine, he’s been a member of Mohammed Shrine for 48 years. Dick was a member of Temple Lodge # 46 A.F. & A.M. in Peoria. He was also a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Bartonville, for many years.

Dick served his country proudly as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1953-1955.

He worked as a township supervisor of Limestone Township for many years.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10am at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, Bartonville, IL. Rev. Eimo Hinrichs will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be at 9:50 am prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Glasford, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Taps animal shelter.
