He was born September 2, 1942 in Evansville, Indiana to Royal and Olga (Kristopovich) Gustafson.
Surviving are his sister, Elissa Telford of Long Beach, Mississippi; nephew, Chris Shay of Peoria and niece, Leslie (John) Oeser of Medford, New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Robin Gustafson, whom he loved very much and his brother, Paul.
Bob worked at the former Continental Can Co. in Peoria Heights and then worked for Limestone Township, retiring as a Maintenance Supervisor.
He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #979 in Bartonville
An inurnment service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Cremation will be accorded by Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude.
