Shane C Mathus

He was born on August 31, 1976 in Peoria to Robert L. and Pamela (Volz) Mathus. He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandfather, Evan Mathus and maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Clayton Volz.

Surviving are his mother, Pamela of Peoria, four brothers, Todd of Peoria; Chad of Wentzville, MO; T.J. (Kalli) of Peoria and Scott (Amy) Davis of San Diego, CA, one sister, Mindi of Peoria, one son, Evan Mathus of Rushville, IL, grandmother, Bernadette of Peoria, two aunts, Judith of Arizona and Debra of Washington, IL and one uncle Ronald of Peoria. Also surviving are five nephews, Nolan Browder, Ryland Mathus, Reid Mathus, Talan Mathus, and Jacob Davis, one niece, Tamara Ready and one cousin, Rashid Mathus.

He worked as an IT Tech with Information Technology until his passing. Shane was a loving son, cherished brother, devoted father and caring uncle, who loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. Friends meant the world to Shane, who was a giving person to anyone in need.

Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 4 to 6 pm at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with a Eulogy at 6:00 pm. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. The family will receive friends and family at Pam's home in Peoria from 7 to 10 pm following the service.
