Sharon Lynn Tripp

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Bertha Schoff, son James (Jamie) Christopher Tripp, and her sister Luella (Wilbur) Bahr.

She is survived by her husband James Richard Tripp of Mapleton IL, daughter Tammy (Jeff) Beranek of Hanna City IL, grandchildren Mason Beranek of Hanna City IL, Michael Beranek of Somonauk IL, brother in law Wilbur Bahr of Peoria IL, Nephew Bradley (Michelle) Bahr of Midland MI, Jill (Mark) Spilotro of Georgetown, Texas.

Sharon was married to James Richard Tripp on September 2,1967 at Grace United Methodist Church in Peoria IL. Sharon taught 1st grade for 30 years at Limestone Walters Grade School and also served as girls track coach for 3 years before retiring in 2003. She was a graduate of Manual High School in Peoria IL in 1965. Sharon later earned her BA degree in education in 1970 at Bradley University. She was a member of Bartonville St. John's Lutheran Church on Smithville Rd.

Sharon loved to work in her flower gardens and always received compliments from both friends and strangers alike. She loved working on her family photo albums and jigsaw puzzles. She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing and camping. Most of all she loved being with her family and doing things for them, especially her grandson. She loved kids and longed to hold little babies. People always told her she was the most kind, caring, gentle and courageous lady that they knew. She never gave any thought to how she was doing, she only wanted to know how others were doing. She will be missed dearly by both family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Davison-Fulton/Bartonville Chapel, 1203 W Garfield Ave, Bartonville, Illinois 61607, on April 6, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with additional visitation at St John Lutheran Church, 6614 W Smithville Rd, Bartonville, Illinois 61607, on April 7, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.

A funeral service will take place at St John Lutheran Church, 6614 W Smithville Rd, Bartonville, Illinois 61607, on April 7, 2026, at 10:00 am with burial at St John Lutheran Cemetery to follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children Hospital, OSF Children's Hospital, Bartonville St John's Lutheran Church, and Richard L Owens Hospice Care.
