He was born on January 12, 1927 in England to Harry A. and Cecilia (Prior)Bishop. He married Julia O’Farrell in England in 1951 and she preceded him in death in June of 1984 in Glen Head, NY. His parents, two brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Simon (Teresa) Bishop of Hanna City and his daughter, Sueleen (Matt) Ford of Bethel CT. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Andrew, Stewart and Kathleen Bishop and one sister, Doris Tate of Staines, England.
Sidney worked as an Engineer Manager for ListerPetter Diesels until retiring in 1992.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 6:00 pm at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville. Father Bruce King will officiate.
