

She was born August 16, 1960 in Peoria to Larry and Joyce (Kerker) Stroemer. She married David “Bud” Williams on September 8, 1984 in Bartonville. He survives along with her mother, Joyce Schmit of Peoria, one son, Brock Williams of Chicago, one daughter: Bailyn (Billy Zombro) Williams of Bartonville, two step-daughters: Amanda (Scott) Pyle of Morton, and Jennifer (Bryce) Monahan of Herriman, Utah. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Amara and Alana Zombro, Henley Pyle, Addison Bowles, Kennedy Cheney, River Ashton, one great-grandson, Knoxton Bowles, one sister, Tierny (Donnie) Stanton of Mapleton, one brother, Keith (Michele Alvey) Stroemer of Glasford, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, and her step-father, Richard Schmit.
Tanya worked for several businesses in the Peoria area. She loved to read, spend time in her garden, going to the beach, and most of all spending time with family (especially her grandchildren).
A funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10 a.m. at St Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bartonville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Memorials may be made to Illinois Cancer Center on Rt 91 in Peoria.
