Timothy L. Martin, 63, of Mapleton, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Unity Point\Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. He was born on September 10, 1954 in Peoria, Illinois to Robert and Eileen (Reynolds) Martin. He married Debra Thurman on September 1, 1979 in Bartonville, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, James (Jen) Martin of New Braunfels, Texas and Kimberly Martin of Mapleton, Illinois; father-in-law, Loydd Thurman Sr. of Bartonville, Illinois; sister-in-law’s, Linda (Norm) Bartlett and April (Dave) Mitchell both of Peoria, Illinois and brother-in-law, Loydd (Sue) Thurman Jr. of Marquette Heights, Illinois; many nieces and nephews survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Virginia Thurman.
Timothy worked 30 years at Caterpillar Inc. retiring in 2002. He was a dedicated former 30 year member of the Bartonville Fire Department and Rescue Squad and a former member of the Bartonville Lions Club. He was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Bartonville. Timothy was an avid CUBS and Packers fan.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Stephen Barch will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until services at the funeral home Saturday. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the Bartonville Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Senior World in Peoria or to Trinity Presbyterian Church.
