

She was born November 6, 1929 in Greenup, IL to Doyle and Bonnie (Brown) Richardson. She married Edward Leon Harrmann in 1950 in Peoria. He died in January of 1954. She later married William Lewis on June 25, 1988 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Pamela (Mike) Bowen of Pekin, Edward L. Harrmann of Peoria; three step-children, Sharon (Ronald) Symonds of East Peoria, William (Shelley) Lewis of Bettendorf, IA, John (Cheryl) Lewis of Mackinaw; one sister Rosemary (Clarence) Christie of Peoria; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
Virginia worked at Americana Nursing Home as an LPN for several years. She then worked for Dr. Schwied and Dr. Capati’s office for more than 15 years retiring in 1990. She was a member of the American Association of Medical Assistants, Peoria Emblem Club and Howett Street Christian Church.
Virginia enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, traveling, and camping and fishing at the old family cabin. Her true passion was her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and sister. She touched the lives of many and will forever be missed.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunday at the chapel. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
