Barbara C Stone

Barbara Crews Stone, age 85 of Bassett, VA., passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Barbara was born on December 24, 1933 to John B. Crews and Bethie Turner Crews. She was employed by Bassett Chair Company for 46 years and Bassett Printing Company for 7 years. She was a member of Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Perry Hampton Stone on July 25, 2009, two sisters, Virginia Shields and Jessie Wilson, three brothers, Ernest Crews, Clinton Crews and Donnie Crews. She is survived by one brother, Ronnie Crews of Ridgeway, VA., and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren with Pastor Noel Naff officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Hermon Church of the Brethren Cemetery Fund, 144 Mount Hermon Church Road, Bassett, VA. 24055.
