Wesley worked and made many lasting friends at Pannill Knitting Co. before becoming disabled. He was a great outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Even though our hearts are heavy, the fish in the Smith River are breathing a little easier today. Even more than outdoor sports, Wesley loved working with children on the ballfield. He coached kids in baseball, football and softball. One of his greatest joys was running into one of “his kids’ and seeing them grown and doing well. He made a lasting impression on these kids and will always be remembered fondly.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Collins Funeral Home Bassett Chapel . The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM following the visitation with Pastor Tom Durrance officiating.
