to Akers E. Sheppard and Phyllis B. Sheppard of Martinsville.
Darrel was a licensed gunsmith and graduated with honors. He was a Great Father and a Strong and Wonderful Son and a Great Cook. He was a pro wrestler and went by the name “Kodiak”.
Surviving in addition to his parents, his fiancee’, Tina Pace of Spencer; son, Zachary Lowery of the home; sister, Donna Carter and husband, Shane of Ridgeway; nephew, Brandon Shively and wife, Tabetha of Martinsville and special friends, Leidre Childress, Chris and Maynard Spencer and Avery “Big A” Johnson all of Spencer.
The Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home Bassett Chapel.
