

Born in Wall Township, New Jersey, August 19, 1919, he was a son of the late Addison Heulitt and Bertha Manahan Heulitt. Also preceding him in death was his sister and seven brothers.
Earl was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theater and received a Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a carpenter who built boats for 40 years prior to his retirement.
Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Audrey Elmer Heulitt of the home, his daughter, Sharon E. Phillips of Jacksonville, FL, his son, Earl Addison Heulitt II of Bassett, two grandchildren, Kelly Brent and Kevin Phillips, and five great-grandchildren, Tyler Brent, Kiaya Phillips, Grant Phillips, Erika Phillips and K.J. Phillips.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett, with the Rev. J. D. Harmon officiating.
The family will receive friends from Noon to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.
The inurnment service will be at 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 15, 2011, in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, in Dublin, VA.
