Elder James Spencer

He was born May 3, 1936 to the late Clayton W. Spencer and Ollie Stone Spencer.

Elder Spencer retired from Bassett-Walker and worked in management and security.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Velma “Binky” Edwards and a brother, Harold W. Spencer.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Spencer of the home; a daughter, Debbie Hodges and her husband, Charlie; two grandchildren, Heather McVey and Travis Epling; two great grandchildren, Cody McVey and Emily McVey.

The family will receive friends at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett on Monday, June 7, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and other times at the home.

The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett with Elder J.R. Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Henry Memorial Park.
