Ercell Clark Terrell

Ercell Clark Terrell, 84, of 407 Hamilton Road, Bassett, died Monday April 29, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Patrick County on May 1, 1928 to the late Jack Clark and Bessie Morrison Clark. She was retired after over forty years of services with Du-Pont as a Spinneret, she was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George Thomas Terrell, four sisters, Dorothy Chaney, Gladys Chaney, Lillie Cooley and Lonie Foster, three brothers, Kester, Claude and Rufus Clark.

Surviving are one daughter, Deborah Harris of Bassett, one step-daughter, Eleanor May of Eden, NC, three step- sons, David Terrell of Martinsville, Larry W. Terrell of Grownsville, MD and Danny Terrell of Asheboro, NC, one sister, Mary C. Martin of Bassett, one granddaughter, Terri Johnson, six step-grandchildren, Scott May, Britney Turner, George Terrell, Elaina Terrell, Kelsey Terrell and Bryce Terrell, two great-grandsons, Drew Johnson and Matt Johnson and three step-great-grandchildren, Ashley May, Zack May and Patrick Turner.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 2, 2013 in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home of Bassett with Dr. David Towler officiating. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-8 P.M. Wednesday May 1, 2013 in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home and other times at the home.
