In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Perry, and son, John David Perry.
Surviving is one son, Stephen (Kim) Perry, of Bassett; one brother, Donald Ashby of Ridgeway; three sisters, Martha (Kennon) Cox of Ridgeway, Susan Cobbler of Martinsville, and Jane (J.D.) Draper of Collinsville; three grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Gloria was an avid cross-stitcher and loved to sew. In addition to sewing, she loved to bake and was well known for her pound cakes.
A visitation will be held for Gloria at Collins Funeral Home on Friday, May 26 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.. Her funeral service will be Saturday, May 27 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dan Schelling officiating.
