Oh Aunt Betty, I was so sorry to hear about Joby. My heart is so sad for you. I want you to know you are in my prayers. My fondness memory of him is when mama was going to have Ricky and she was going down the hill at Granny's on Lavender Street and he put out his arm and help her. I was just a little kid then but I remember his kindness. I will be home in March to stay with mama at Ricky's house in Collinsville. I would love to see you. Keeping you in my heart and prayers. Love you,

Patricia East

Deepest condolences to all the family & may GOD comfort each of you during this time of loss. James"Joby" East was my brother-in-law and uncle to my daughter, Angela. He was a very caring, generous and loving man. He always was good to my daughter & I. If you needed anything & he was able to, he'd help! He loved his wife, Betty Jane & his children, grandchildren, great-grandchild, his sister's, brother's, niece's, nephew's & all family members. He always had a smile & laugh for my daughter and I. GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN!!
