Jane Hicks Eggleton

Jane Hicks Eggleton, 55, of 976 Reed Creek Drive, Bassett, died Sunday, January 15, 2012 at UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville. Jane was born in Trenton Michigan on December 2, 1956 to the late James G. Hicks, Sr. and Blanche Allen Hicks. She was retired from H. H. Hunt Properties where she worked as a Property Manager. Jane attended First Baptist Church of Bassett.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Eggleton of the home, two daughters, Jennifer Melissa Whiteaker of Austin Texas and Laura Jane Poff of Salem, one step-daughter, Melissa Anne Eggleton of Bassett, one brother, James G. Hicks, Jr. of Louisville Kentucky and five grandchildren Taylor Alexis Whiteaker, Briana May Prosser, Dylan James Whiteaker, Kali Jane Whiteaker and Addisyn Grace Poff.

Funeral services will be held 2:00p.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home of Bassett with Dr. Lew Bennett officiating, interment will follow in Town Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Henry. The family will receive friends 7-9p.m. tonight (Tuesday) January 17, 2012 in the Chapel of Collins Funeral Home in Bassett.
