Mary Eunice Prillaman Turner, 84, of Henry, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Schoolfield, VA, February 16, 1928 to the late Samuel Fred Prillaman and Ida Jones Prillaman. She retired from Stanley Furniture in 1982. She was a member of New Vision Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Turner Moore and a brother, Melvin Prillaman.
She is survived by her husband, Eron Woodrow Turner, one daughter, Dana Turner Dingell and husband Jim Dingell of Herndon, VA, three grandchildren, Jason Frye, Trevor Frye and James Dingell and one sister, Jacqueline Whitlock of Ferrum, VA.
The funeral service will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at New Vision Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to New Vision Baptist Church, 5307 Fork Mountain Road, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
Collins Funeral Home in Bassett is assisting the family.
