Mykael Thomas Fjestad

Mykael Thomas Fjestad, 22, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at his home. He was born on April 20, 1993 in Salem to Hampton Ingram and Maren Fjestad. Mykael graduated from Bassett High School in 2011 where he was a member of the BHS Marching Band, winning four State Championships. He was employed by Regional One EMS as an Emergency Medical Technician. He was an EMT with the Fieldale-Collinsville Volunteer Rescue Squad and was a former Firefighter with the Fieldale Volunteer Fire Company.

He is survived by his mother, Maren Fjestad of Greensboro, NC; his father, Hampton Ingram of Bassett; two brothers, Conner Craig of Martinsville and Blaine Ingram of Collinsville; his maternal grandparents, Dennis and Deanna Fjestad of Canada; his paternal grandparents, Sidney and Claudia Deans of Bassett and James Ingram of New Bern, NC; his uncles, Roderick Ingram of Norfolk and Jay Fjestad and wife Karen of Canada and his cousins, Jade and Kenzie Fjestad of Canada.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 4, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:30 PM at First Baptist Church of Collinsville.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Collinsville with Pastor Michael Harrison and Pastor Dale Wilson officiating.
