Ruby Shirlene Callaway, 50, of 945 Summit Road, Martinsville, died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rocky Mount, on November 7, 1961 to Rebecca Harper of Fieldale. Ruby held an associates degree in Computer Technology and worked for more than five years with R. F. Micro Devices in Greensboro, NC. Ruby was a member of Way of Truth Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Gloria Rumley.
Surviving in addition to her mother was two daughters, Brooklyn Rumley and Alannah Rumley both of the home, two sisters, Dorothy Wray of Martinsville and Mary Harper of Fieldale, three brothers, Kermit Harper and Billy “Big D” Harper both of Martinsville and Calvin Harper of Fieldale
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012 at Refuge Temple with Dr. Lewis B. Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the Harper family Cemetery in Fieldale. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Refuge Temple and other times at the home on Summit Road, Martinsville.
