Ruth Frances Bryant Beck, 91, of Martinsville, Va. passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Beck was born on January 10, 1927 in Franklin County, Va. to the late Carl V. Bryant and the late Molly Ruth Mullins Bryant O'dell. She had worked for many years in the cafeteria of Figsboro Elementary School. She was married to John William Beck, who predeceased her on October 3, 2017.
Mrs. Beck is survived by one daughter, Frances Ann Goad; and husband, Randy of Collinsville, Va.; one son, John Wayne Beck and wife, Kelly of Rocky Mount, Va.; three grandchildren, Chris Beck, Hannah and Amanda Goad. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Jessie Lee Bryant.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
