

Thelma Hill Moore, 73, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart where she was a resident. She was born in Carroll County, Virginia, November 5, 1941 to Otis Foy Reece and Mary Wright Reece. Thelma was a very devoted mother and grandmother and spent her life taking care of her children and grandchildren. She loved playing the organ and piano and was a member of Wayside Tabernacle Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Moore; two sisters, Mildred McHone and Bertha Arrington; one brother, Roger Dale Reece.
Surviving are three daughters, Pamela Hall (Jessie) of Sophia, NC, Tammy Hill of Martinsville and Teresa Hill of Bassett; one son, Ray Reynolds, Jr. of Collinsville;
six grandchildren, Renee Dill, Amy Betton, Alishia Underwood, Amanda Lockhart, Courtney Underwood and Amber Mullins; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Secrest of Concord, NC and Iva Lou Edwards (Chuck) of Florida; and one brother Foy Fulcher (Sue) of Patrick Springs.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett.
The funeral service will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home with interment to follow in the Unity Baptist Church Cemetery in Patrick County.
