William Elbert “Bill” Quesenberry, age 80, formerly of Collinsville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Red Oak Manor, Rocky Mount. He was born September 21, 1933, in Montgomery County, a son of the late Toy A. and Lena Reed Quesenberry. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shelby Jean Quesenberry, and a sister, Mary Jean McCoy. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was in the National Guard. He retired from Southland Life Insurance Co. as an agent with 30 plus years of service. Surviving are his son, William Dale Quesenberry and his wife Anita of Radford, his sister, Ann Allen of Florida, brother Donald Quesenberry of Maryland, step-children, Lisa, Donnie and Steve, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The graveside funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, May 19, 2014, in Roselawn Burial Park with the Rev. J. D. Harmon officiating.
