Zora Phylena Stoneman

Zora Phylena Stoneman, 84, of Patrick Springs, died Monday, December 12, 2011 at the residence of her daughter. Zora was born in North Carolina to the late Willie King and Fannie Mae Snow King. She was retired from Tultex after more than thirty years of service. Zora was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Stoneman, two sisters, Gertrude “Gertie” Ackers and Mildred King, one brother, Roby King, one great grandchild, Ladanian Ferguson and one nephew Michael King.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law; Vickie and Nicke Wasoski of Sanville, Judy and Donnie Robertson of Patrick Springs and Deborah and Jeffrey Roberts of Moseley, two sons and daughters-in-law; Don and Donna Stoneman of Ridgeway and Dan and Chris Stoneman of Patrick Springs, eight grandchildren; Derik, Suzanne, Kathy, Sherry, Kevin, Ray, Brad and Matthew, nine great grandchildren; John Gabriel, Anna, Mason, Weston, Kaiya, Landon, Lucky, Amber and Gage, three step-grandchild; Tonya, Michael and Donnie, Jr. and six step-great grandchildren; Ambrye, Wyatt, Christopher, Brendan, Michael, Jr. and Kayla.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home of Bassett, with Kelly Ratcliff officiating, internment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8:00p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2011 in the chapel of Collins Funeral Home in Bassett and other times at the home of a daughter, Judy Robertson at 3260 County Line Road, Patrick Springs, 24133.
