Joan Foytik

Joan is survived by her husband, Joey; her children, Gabrielle, Mason and William; parents, Barbara and Bernard Seidel; sisters, Diane, Donna, Vickie and Jane and 26 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister, Caryl and nephews Cameron, Reece and Kennedy.

Joan was born on April 15, 1961 in Bastrop, Texas. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Doctorate in Pharmacy. She married Joey in 1985 and they just recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. She worked at the MD Anderson Research Center and HEB Pharmacy where she recently received recognition for her 25 years of service as a Pharmacist.

Joan loved singing and led the church choir at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne and Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop. She cherished spending time with her family, being outdoors in the garden, on the river, and at the deer lease. She was an avid baker and loved watching the Food Network. Joan loved her job as a pharmacist and enjoyed the opportunity to serve the Bastrop community and surrounding areas.

Services for Joan will be at the Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop, Texas. The Rosary will be 6:30pm on Thursday, June 30, 2016 and the Funeral Service at 10:00am on Friday, July 1, 2016. Following the service we will have a Graveside Committal at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Rockne, Texas.
